What is the best self-help/self-improvement audio CD?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under self improvement | 4 Comments »

I am looking for 1 or 2 audio cds, not a full collection. Something that I could listen to in my way to and from work. Building Self-confidence/self-discipline is my interest.

Dr Richard Bandler has some cutting edge audio cds.

Should I include my personal development library in my resume?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under personal development | 3 Comments »

I have some college and no degree. Would it be helpful or harmful to put the authors and titles of the relevant books I’ve in my resume?

Probably not useful.

If you’re talking about books you’ve read to develop skills, list the skills you’ve developed without listing the book. If you’re talking about books like Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, or Five Disfunctions of a Team, they don’t belong on a resume. You can discuss their influence on you in a cover letter, if appropriate.

If your college courses focused on a specific area, you can mention that area after you list the school you attended.

Any nice fitness clubs or gyms in NJ?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under fitness gyms | 1 Comment »

Just moved from WI to Bloomfield NJ. Wondering if there are any fitness clubs or gyms in the area that are reasonable and not too shabby. I’d say my monthly budget tops off at about 60 bucks a month. Anyone know of a place that I could afford? Let me know!

Powerhouse is not too bad. see:

I don’t know what they charge these days but they do have a trial membership.

Some help with running and personal fitness?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under personal fitness | 2 Comments »

So I have just started playing rugby and I’m having a lot of trouble with running and the general fitness I need for it all. But particularly the running. I tend to run out of breath really fast. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help with my general fitness and my running skills? I have already been trying to run between practice days.

jog about 2 kms every 3 days but not to fast. do this for 2 weeks and u will notice a big improvement.

do a cuple of sprints also and get techiques for sprinting off www.sprintingtechniques.com and run up hill for strength and speed. 6x every 3 days and do that for 1 month and you will be fit.

Why do health food nuts always look horrendously sick?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under health food | 4 Comments »

Sometimes I go to the health food store because I prefer organic chicken and milk, anyways the people shopping there and working there always look sick.. their hair seems to be falling out and their skin is always very pale and they just seem to have a dull look about them.. and they rarely seem to be in a cheerful mood.

What’s the deal?

Many vegetarians and Vegans shop in health food stores. These are the folks looking at soy and wheat germ etc rather than organic eggs or milk. The folks that are low in B 12 and Taurine and often they do look sick because of their Animal Rights diet.
