    I am still craving (and giving in) to cooked foods. I loved the idea that you gave about eating the raw foods first, even if you know you’re gon’na give in to the craving. You’re the best Dan. Love, Terri.

    May I ask what you served, as far as the raw foods went? This sounds great, and it was nice you ‘allowed’ the others to eat as they wished! .’)

    If you’re eating …
    If you’re eating raw, or even just dieting, and you feel like you’re suffering then you are doing something wrong. I can tell you that you don’t have to suffer and you can still get the results if you give your body what it needs. Listen to your body…

    This was my first …
    This was my first 100% raw Christmas dinner too! I cooked turkey dinner for the rest of the family..no problem, but I do have an issue with over eating still. I didn’t have a hard time at all transitioning over to raw foods( it’s been 9 months now, 100% raw), but I still struggle with eating too much.

    It is better to eat …
    It is better to eat small amounts of avocados, nuts and seeds, and not to eat them daily. There is more than adequate fat for the body from fruits, vegetables and leafy greens. End Quote

    So 1oz of nuts OR 5oz of an avocado OR 1oz of sunflower seeds every few days would be enough fat. If you ate 1 oz of Walnuts 2x/week that would be about $1.50/wk. This would be for a 2000 cal/day diet of raw fruits and veges. I will see if I can find a youtube video on this for you.

    This is a quote …
    This is a quote from Dr. Doug Graham: Avocados, nuts and seeds are extremely high in fat content. When it comes to fat, it doesn?t matter so much its origin; fat is fat. Fat goes from the lymph system directly into the blood. Too much fat will thicken the blood, causing the red blood cells to clump together so they cannot deliver oxygen to the cells. Excess fat also blocks the action of insulin in bringing sugars to the cells, which leads to diabetes.

    I hope I’m through screwing up. I’d like to get from A (where I;m at now) to B (Slim & Healthy) this year, without taking detours and the scenic route. Today I started at ‘A’ and am doing raw food detox. I included some raw nuts, hope thats fine! YAY! Another fantastic video, Dan – I dig it!!!!!

    @rawforhealth Same …
    @rawforhealth Same here. I was with family for the holidays, so I didn’t cause a big fuss like ‘no meat’. I had a few goodies and now I’m over it. I think this was the first Christmas where I wasn’t saying to myself ‘oh I’m so fat why did I eat that’ so it was good. Just keep progressing and it is all good.

    Peanuts are not …
    Peanuts are not actually nuts. Peanuts are in the legume “bean” family. Stick with real organic raw nuts.

    Dan, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video! I really needed to hear it today. Just hearing about your journey helps me to not stress out so much when I mess up or overindulge. I was 98% raw on Christmas and was proud of myself! Thank you for all the time and effort you and Krista put in to these videos!
