Can someone tell me which adjustable dumbells are the best?

They look pretty good, but I would need at least 80’s. I can’t imagine how incredibly wide an 80 lbs set would be. Those are about the max width I’d want, for doing lighter lifts like curls.

thanks for the video man. i was looking into buying some dumbbells just like these. you mentioned gold’s and epic.. i saw the same dumbbells at sears that were weider. either way, they look like nice dumbbells for the price. very helpful video!

i watched this video and liked what i saw so i bought them and saved a ton! because i used a coupon and all that great stuff. i used them for my P90X and they were perfect! i was able to change the weight fast when i needed and i also got a service plan for two years so if anything happens they come out to my place and fix it and if they can’t then they replace it. the weights do stick at first but then the more you use them that problem goes away. i strongly recommend these dumbbells.

I have no problem with the weights falling out. The weights themselves have a hole through them which the sliding mechanism on the handle fits securely into. They cannot fall off the bar.

Is there any danger of the weights falling out? I cannot tell how if the locking mechanism is strong enough to hold the weights.

LOVED how thorough you were in the video! Thanks for reviewing the top two most popular items. I’m out to buy a pair of these and will comment soon! (I’ll be the first girl to comment once I test these out!)

on other thing about these i did not mention. The picture shows the stand at an angle and that is incorrect. They sit completely flat on the stand not at an angle

@conspiracy83 To each their own, from what I checked out I found these to be the most user friendly. The powerblocks are awesome because they are more compact and not as long but the way the increment weights go inside the handle seems like a pain to change to me especially if you are doing a fast paced lift like p90x or something.

I think some places have them and others do not. I saw an ad in the local paper for them again a few weeks ago. I would just call a local store and see if they can get them in.

I am looking for a set of these…
I checked sports authority and can’t find them?

ICON Fitness makes this product with the Gold’s Gym Label, Weider Label, & Epic Label. They are all identical except for colors. You can get them at Costco, Sears, & Sport’s Auth. It has by far the best reviews.

Man, I wish my weights got that heavy! Mine are stuck at 20 a pop. But for 20 bucks, I’m not gonna complain that much.

I bought a pair of the Bowflex 552s from a lady whose husband never used them. I paid 250 and I hate them. I was looking at a set like yours at SEARS that had a different name also. They were called Weider Powerswitch and they also came with a stand for 300 bucks plus tax. I think I’ll sell the Bowflex ones and buy those. Thanks for the review man.

They were just on sale for 299.99 in store. Then I printed a 25 off coupon which covered sales tax.

How did you obtain your 100 dollars off coupon?

@billas333 i actually went to sport aut. to check those out and i was not convince with its quality i mean its hard enough to switch the No# of lbs also i feel that the dumbell is to long and not well balance. I am 100% sure i am gonna get the powerblock sports 5.0 i found an authorize dealer webstore that sells for $299 w shipping now thats a steal especially for dumbell of that quality.

They were just listed in the weights section on the website. They may have sold out of them and discontinued them I do not know.
I have never used powerblock however they do look nice because the length of the dumbbell adjusts with the amount of weight. However I was not a fan of the 2.5lb bars that slide inside the handles as incremental weight. That seems like a pain in the butt to me and looks like it would feel off balance. Plus i think the stand is extra with those as well.

hey you i also checked and they are not online so you have to go the store.. i also will buy it and i found a instore coupon if you google sport authority instore coupon you will find a $25 coupon so the dumbell will cost you $301 out the door.
