HEY a future personal fitness trainer, nutritionist, and chief needs help! Do anyone have answers?

March 6th, 2010 | by admin |

Im 16yrs old and when I get older I want to be a personal fitness trainer, a nutritionist, and a chief?

What classes should I take?
What college would be best for me?

Well no matter what college you attend , all personal trainers have to become certified otherwise anyone can just declare they are a personal trainer and thats how trainers hurt people. There are a ton of certification companies out there. The best are accredited by NCCA/NOCA. No matter what company you choose , you will have to take a closed book exam. If the certification company does not require you to take an exam , it is a joke. Gyms will not except it. You will also need to become CPR certified. So in case of an emergency you will be able to handle the situation. Personal trainer certification companies require you to renew your certification every 2 years. You do this by doing additional certifications. If sports nutrition is what you are interested in you can take that after 2 years of being a personal trainer or you can do it right away. Personally I recommend IFPA to everyone thinking about becoming a personal trainer. They are really good. And i have had experience with other certifications and they got nothing on IFPA. Good luck to you and your future.
