			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Exercise equipment is very expensive and even if you appreciate that using it is an investment in health and longevity, it still can be very difficult to fit it into a home budget.   But used home exercise equipment might be a way to go.   Since most equipment last for literally decades and even with constant use will probably still have a lot of life left in them regardless of the age.   But where to find some good used exercise equipment and what should you look for before purchasing? <br/><br/>Before you start your search for used exercise equipment you should decide on the type of equipment you think would be of the best benefit to you.   Take a trip to your local home fitness center and check out the types of equipment available.   While looking at the equipment be sure to inspect the exercise equipment for quality of workmanship and if you are looking at gym equipment in a gymnasium you should look for the normal wear and tare.   This information will become vital when considering used exercise equipment.  <br/><br/>Obviously most people would turn to eBay when looking for used home exercise equipment, but keep in mind that there is usually a large shipping cost for this type of equipment if you purchase it from someone outside of your immediate area.   However eBay does allow you to narrow your search to a specific range of miles around your home so that you can pick up something.   It&#8217;s recommended that for something as expensive as home exercise equipment you&#8217;ll want to arrange with the seller to inspect the pieces beforehand or pay in cash in person after winning the auction, if the piece is as advertised.   It&#8217;s never a good idea to just pay for something this expensive without having inspected it first.   Craig&#8217;s List online is also a good place to shop for used exercise equipment and some prefer it since it isn&#8217;t worked around an auction but is more like a huge garage sale instead.  <br/><br/>You may have flea markets nearby that sell exercise equipment.   Goodwill, Purple Heart, the Kidney Foundation, and even the Salvation Army often sell good equipment from their donors.   You can easily find them online or in the phone book.  <br/><br/>It&#8217;s important to inspect and try out the used home exercise equipment you find anywhere before you buy it.   When it comes to treadmills, look at the belt carefully.   It is curled or frayed at the ends?  When you run the machines does the belt have a tendency to drift to one side?  This signals uneven wear.   Of course belts can be replaced easily but if you plan on doing this then consider the added cost.   Try out elliptical machines and bikes.   Are the pedals securely fastened?  Do they have a tendency to wobble?  This might mean inferior quality.   As for weight machines and other pieces of used home exercise equipment, check pulleys, cords, belts, benches, and every moving piece.   Does it work effortlessly?  If not then something may be ready to break.   Make sure the cords and pulley don&#8217;t look frayed and worn.  <br/><br/>Buying used home exercise equipment rather than new can be a good idea if it means sticking to your budget, but exercise caution and be sure that you don&#8217;t grab the first thing you see and that you have a chance to thoroughly inspect everything no matter what the brand name or price.  <br/><br/><!-- pingbacker_start --><br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Eating healthy and exercise often times go right along with each other.  This is true even if you are not looking to lose any weight.  Your body is not able to be in its best condition if you are not moving around.  There has been research done that proves that what a person actually eats is part of the biggest role for losing weight.  However being physically active on a regular basis has many other benefits.  <br/><br/>People that participate in regular physical activity have fewer issues with the joints in their body.  Being physically active also benefits chronic ailments.  Many times a person who exercises will also have a longer lifespan.  <br/><br/>When you exercise there are brain chemicals that are released.  These chemicals aid in relieving depression.  You may not actually experience any kind of high, but you should notice an improvement in your mood, once you are moving around.  <br/><br/>The question many want to know is how much is enough when it comes to physical activity? You will be glad to know that you are not able to move too much during the day.  You should however be sure that you are avoiding any movements that might cause you injury.  As long as you are doing this you can be as active as you would like to be.  <br/><br/>However if you are wondering about the minimum activity you should participate in to have good health then you should look to be active for at least thirty minutes to an hour each day.  This is particularly true if you are just starting to be active or if you have been living a lifestyle that is sedentary.  <br/><br/>The reason that it is said that these two go together is the fact that if you don’t eat foods that are nutritious or eat enough calories each day you will find that you don’t have enough energy to do your work out.  You might not even have enough energy to sit down at a desk for the day.  <br/><br/>Many people today find that they have a problem with fatigue.  One of the reasons for this can be a lack of sleep.  There have been surveys taken that say that an average person will get around six hours each night of sleep.  To have good health you need to get at least six or eight hours of sleep each night.  <br/><br/>If you are someone that has a bit of trouble sleeping then you should focus more on eating healthy and exercise during the day.  Many people doing this will find that they will have an improvement with their sleep patterns.  Being physically active will help you to sleep better.  This is more so true with yoga activities because these can help you with reducing stress and will help make it easier for you to fall asleep at night.  <br/><br/><!-- pingbacker_start --><br />

One choice that many people have made in recent years is to start a walking/running program at home using a home treadmill, and here are some of the reasons why that can be a great choice for you too: <br/><br/>1.  Although the health benefits of walking and running are many and well-known, daily life remains very hectic and busy for many.  Because of that, finding time to schedule a daily workout gets more and more difficult.  But most people can fit about 30 minutes or so into their schedule each day and that&#8217;s all it takes to jump on a treadmill at home and get a good aerobic workout.  Because you don&#8217;t have to travel to a gym that saves even more time and makes a home treadmill very convenient and time efficient.  <br/><br/>2.  Walking is an easy way to start an exercise program.  Almost anybody can do it.  And because most treadmills have an adjustable speed that starts very slow, even a person with health problems can easily start on the road to improved health without overdoing it.  Of course, as with any exercise routine, you should consult your doctor beforehand to be sure that you do so under their guidance.  <br/><br/>3.  Many modern treadmills also have electronic programs that are built in to vary the workout intensity by adjusting the speed as you go, or increasing and decreasing the incline of your walk or run.  This helps alleviate some of the boredom associated with running in place too.  <br/><br/>4.  Working out on a treadmill is an activity that can easily be combined with another pursuit to help keep your mind busy as you exercise, like watching TV or listening to an audio book or music.  If you enjoy the time that is spent working out you will have more tendency to stay with it, so find something that keeps your interest as you exercise.  <br/><br/>5.  Walking and/or running outside can have it&#8217;s own set of challenges, including bad weather and the need for safety.  Exercising on a home treadmill instead solves both of those issues.  You can exercise whenever you want in a controlled environment when you are at home, meaning that you don&#8217;t have to brave the elements each time you workout.  And you should feel very safe in your own home.  <br/><br/>There are definitely other benefits of using a home treadmill in your daily fitness workout, but the ones listed are some of the most common ones heard from folks who are regular exercisers.
